Deirdre was born in Lusaka, Zambia, and spent her formative years there. The influence of the colour and indigenous patterns of daily life in Africa is evident in her present work. She studied Fine Art at Crawford Municipal College of Art & Desig, Cork and Art Education Limerick College of Art & Design. She works in a variety of media.
Deirdre currently lives in Dublin, She has been involved in many group shows. She has worked both as an Artist and Art teacher. Her work can be seen at Pitch 126, Merrion Square, Dublin every Sunday.
